This past weekend, young archer Sebastián Jane, representing Lil Abner Foundation Archery, made waves in the U18 Fixed Pins division at the prestigious 2025 Easton Foundations Gator Cup — one of the nation’s most competitive archery events.
Sebastián delivered an outstanding performance right from the start, qualifying 4th in a stacked field of the country’s top youth archers. With focus, determination, and poise beyond his years, he advanced through the elimination rounds, including an impressive quarterfinal victory that showcased his mental strength and refined technique.
In the finals, Sebastián found himself on the shooting line for the bronze medal match — a huge accomplishment in itself. There, he went arrow for arrow against a formidable opponent: a USA Archery National Indoor Champion and Vegas Shoot winner. It was a tightly contested match that came down during the third end, proving just how close Sebastián came to the podium.
Though he narrowly missed a medal, finishing 4th overall, Sebastián’s performance was nothing short of remarkable. At just 16, he has already proven he can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the country.
Beyond competition, Sebastián is a true role model for the Lil Abner Archers community and also for his peers at Belén Jesuit Preparatory School, where he serves as the president of the school’s archery club. Under the guidance of moderator Mr. Andrés Jiménez, Sebastián leads by example—promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and a love for the sport.
We are incredibly proud of Sebastián and all he has accomplished. His drive, leadership, and sportsmanship make him a standout competitor and an inspiration to young archers. Keep an eye on this rising star — the future is bright for Sebastián Jane!
