At Li’l Abner Foundation Taekwondo, our dynamic martial arts program is crafted for children and teens aged 6 and up. Learn From, Certified Instructors.
Our program is led by a dedicated team of highly credentialed instructors who bring unparalleled expertise, safety, and passion to the mat.
Head Instructor: Master Alvaro Ubeda. With 35 years of martial arts experience, Master Ubeda is a Kukkiwon International Master and 5th Dan Black Belt. He is also a Level 4 Commando Krav Maga instructor, USOC SafeSport-certified, and a USA Archery Level 3 coach—providing elite-level mentorship to every student.
Instructor: Rosemary Ubeda. A passionate instructor holding a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kukkiwon Taekwondo and a Level 3 Commando Krav Maga practitioner. Rosemary also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida International University (FIU), drawing on deep knowledge of the physical and biological sciences to inspire her students.
Instructor: Edward Cespedes, a 2nd Dan Kukkiwon-certified Black Belt and a competitive boxing athlete. Edward brings exceptional energy and dual-discipline experience to the floor while currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree at FIU.
- Instructor: Roselyn Ubeda, a 2nd Dan Kukkiwon-certified Black Belt with years of experience giving back to our community as a dedicated volunteer right here at the Li’l Abner Foundation. Roselyn is an Honor Roll student and a Senior in the prestigious Italian Program at the International Studies Preparatory Academy (ISPA). Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Italian, she brings exceptional communication, academic excellence, and leadership to our young athletes.
