Last weekend, our Lil Abner Archery Club sent two of our U18 archers to compete at the 2026 JOAD Indoor Nationals, sanctioned by USA Archery and hosted at the Easton Newberry Archery Center in Newberry, Florida.
This event is one of the leading indoor competitions for junior archers in the United States, drawing athletes from across the country to compete at a high standard of performance.
The JOAD Indoor Nationals is contested as a national-level indoor target archery event for youth divisions (U13–U21), shooting at 18 meters on single-spot or triangle 3-spot targets. The format emphasizes precision, consistency, and mental discipline under competitive pressure.
Outstanding Performances by Our Archers
We are proud to recognize the achievements of our club’s athletes:
Justin Lovin — 1st Place in Florida | U18 Fixed Pins Male
Joseph Lovin — 3rd Place in Florida | Compound U18 Male
Both Justin and Joseph demonstrated exceptional focus and consistency throughout their rounds. Competing against strong fields in their respective divisions, they earned podium finishes through disciplined preparation and steady execution.
What This Means for Our Club
These results reflect not only individual excellence, but also the strength of our training program and the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and families. Competing at the national level provides valuable experience and reinforces the standards of performance we strive to maintain within our club.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward into the rest of the indoor season, including upcoming National Field Archery Association State and NFAA Sectional Championships, we will continue building on this momentum through focused practice, technical development, and mental preparation. These performances at Indoor Nationals provide a strong foundation as our athletes prepare for the next stage of competition.
