This past weekend the Lil Abner Foundation took 16 medically fragile children to Disney’s Magic Kingdom and to a private breakfast with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Thanks to the generosity of Insurance Nation and other sponsors along with the 60 volunteers that included friends, family, police officers, nurses, therapist, and paramedics this trip was a success.
What an incredible experience this year’s trip has been! ❤️ I am extremely grateful for Li’l Abner Foundation-Disney on Wheels team that made this trip possible, and all of the volunteers, nurses, and therapists that devoted their time and months of preparation to make this “magical day” for the children and their parents. I’d also like to thank our sponsors because without them none of this would have been possible.
Thank you to PATCHES PPEC and Big Bear Academy PPEC for their help, and to the parents for trusting and supporting us to help make their kids’ dream of going to Disney come true. This day not only brings so much joy to all involved, but also helps our community learn more about children with special needs and the accommodations they require on a daily basis.
We look forward to next year, when hopefully we will be able to expand our reach and make even MORE dreams come true! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart 💜
