This Saturday eight of our Archery program athletes participated in the USA Archery Virtual Outdoor Tournament. The USA Archery Virtual Tournament is a great way to experience the excitement of a national event and test your skills against archers across the country, from the comfort of your local archery range!
Any recreational or competitive archer who is a member of USA Archery and a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Collegiate Archery Program, or Adult Archery Program Club is encouraged to participate! Archers must have at minimum a USA Archery Recreational Membership to participate in the tournament.
The Outdoor round consists of 36 arrows shot in 6 ends of 6 arrows at different distances, which can range from 30 meters to 70 meters, which is the distance of the Olympic recurve bow shooters.
This is the first time that our archers shot this event that is organized in the spring and autumn season of each year. We consider it to be an excellent way to prepare for more serious events, such as the ones we will attend in 2022, such as the gator cup. We shoot this tournament in the Outdoor Range of Miami Springs, where we also do weekend practices.
Congratulations to all the children and their families.
