DESCRIPTION:Group Picture of 2021 Li’l Abner Foundation’s Disney on Wheels \nIn 2017 The Lil Abner Foundation founded Disney on Wheels and sent its first group of medically fragile children to Walt Disney World. To make this dream come true\, it takes over 60 volunteers made up of nurses\, therapists\, paramedics\, police officers\, & friends. Our bus is escorted by police officers & ambulances for the safety and care of our children. \nThis year we will be taking 16 children to Disney from March 3rd through the 5th. DESCRIPTION:12th Annual LIl Abner Foundation/Caremax Thanksgiving Bash \n \n  \nWith the holidays around the corner\, The Li’l Abner Foundation helped out residents of the City of Sweetwater\, Florida by hosting a special bash. \nThe celebration kicked off Sunday afternoon at Ronselli Park in Sweetwater. \nBegun as an event for the residents of the Li’l Abner Mobile Home Park\, the event has grown to an outreach event for all the residents of Sweetwater. \nParticipants enjoyed food and activities such as children’s shows\, raffle prizes and turkey gift cards. \nFor the first time\, the Belen Jesuit Alumni sections of medical doctors held a screening health fair during the bash. \nLi’l Abner Foundation\,  started it 12 years ago to help the community of Sweetwater that so desperately needed it\,” said Raul Rodriguez\, the foundation’s founder. \nOrganizers’ goal is to improve the lives of everyone in the community. \nSee the Channel 7 Video here. \n  \n  \n  \n
